Adding Files and Photos

After a letting unit has been added and saved, files and photos can be added to the record.

To add a file including lettings particulars photos, click on the paperclip symbol in the top right corner.

On clicking, a files panel slides out with two tabs:

  • attachments

  • property images

Attachments

To add a new attachment, ensure the tab is selected (it's selected by default on opening the files panel) and drag into the upload box your file. Give it a name in the title box and click upload.

The file will then be available when opening the files panel to view and download.

It's useful for general letting unit documents such as boiler warranty letters, risk assessments or similar.

Don't add anything specifically to do with a tenancy into the files panel as you will be able to do that directly in a tenancy record (see later).

Also, don't add any inspection files (e.g. gas safety record) into this files panel as there is a dedicated section for inspections where files can be added to (see later).

Property Images

By selecting the property images tab, you can upload photos of the letting unit normally used for marketing when the property becomes for rent. By having the separate tab, it keeps them separate from other miscellaneous files that may be added over time.
